Opportunities like this don’t come by often. We are looking for an experienced Platform Engineer to join OutThink and play a key role in designing, building, and securing our cloud-native infrastructure. You will work closely with customers, partners, and internal engineering teams to connect our platform with external systems, design secure network architectures, and ensure high availability across our cloud environments. This role requires a strong background in cloud networking, Kubernetes (AKS), and service mesh technologies (Istio), combined with a mindset focused on automation, security, and scalability.

What you'll do

• Work with OutThink’s customers, partners, and internal teams to securely
integrate our platform with remote data sources, APIs, and customer security
systems.
• Design and implement secure, scalable network architectures across cloud and hybrid environments
• Ensure high availability, performance, and security of the platform using best practices and proactive monitoring
• Build and maintain cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) (e.g., Terraform)
• Act as a networking expert, covering areas such as firewalls, load balancers, private networking, and secure connectivity
• Design and operate Kubernetes-based platforms (AKS) including workload
networking and scaling strategies
• Implement and manage service mesh architectures (Istio) for traffic
management, observability, and security
• Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver secure, maintainable, and businessaligned solutions
• Produce and maintain technical documentation, and support customer queries and solution proposals
• Work in agile environments, contributing to the delivery of enterprise-grade cloud services
• Deploy and manage the Microsoft security ecosystem, including Defender,
Sentinel, and M365
• Drive adoption of modern security principles, including Zero Trust networking

Your background

• 5+ years of experience in IT Infrastructure, Platform Engineering, or Networking roles.
• At least 3+ years of hands-on experience with Kubernetes in production
environments
• Strong experience with Istio (or similar service mesh technologies)
Solid expertise in cloud networking concepts, including: Virtual networks
(VNet/VPC), Firewalls & network security groups, Load balancers & application gateways, Private endpoints and hybrid connectivity.
• Strong experience with Microsoft Azure, especially: Azure networking (VNet, Application Gateway, Front Door, WAF), Azure AD and identity/security
integrations.
• Good working knowledge of AWS networking and cloud services.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
• Proficient in Python and good knowledge of Golang (or willingness to learn it).
• Experience with monitoring, observability, and incident response in distributed systems.
• Strong understanding of Linux and Windows server environments.
• Experience working in both project-based and operational environments.
• Strong communication skills in English (written and verbal

Desirable Skills

• Experience managing AKS clusters at scale in production environments.
• Experience with multi-cloud architectures (Azure + AWS).
• Familiarity with Zero Trust architectures and modern security models.
• Microsoft certifications such as: Azure Network Engineer Associate, Azure
Solutions Architect / Enterprise Administrator Expert.
• Experience in cybersecurity or security-focused organizations.
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Experience with observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, etc.)
